Central Street is home to many great health and fitness businesses. June - August, we'll be teaming up with a variety of fitness and wellness studios to bring you "Wellness Wednesdays" a series of free classes! This series will run every week on Wednesdays at Independence Park, unless otherwise noted. Class registration required.

Celebrate Independence Day in Evanston. The theme is “Seeds of Change” to focus on both the city’s and the event’s future growth as it moves into the next century. Since 1922, the 4th of July celebration has been bringing the community together to commemorate our nation's independence. The annual parade proceeding from the west end of Central Street to the east end begins at 2PM. Organized by the Evanston Fourth of July Association.

The award-winning Evanston 4th of July Parade is scheduled for Thursday, July 4th, and begins at 2 p.m. The parade route East on Central Street from Central Park Ave. to Ashland Ave. (Ryan Field).
